We had heard that it was possible on Tuesday (October 29), to get a little bit of snow, but it suprising to look out our windows the following morning to find accululation (albeit a small accumulation) of snow on our grass.
Even more strange to us was hearing that the next town South of us had gotten nearly a foot of snow! Cazenovia is about 8-9 miles south, but is 800 feet higher in elevation...so alot of the precipitation that we received as rain/wintery mix, was all snow for them.
Fortunately, things warmed up by Halloween...all the snow melted, and it was warm enough all evening for us to sit outdoors to greet the trick or treaters.
