We were invited to visit the Hammerle's for dessert and for the children to open their Christmas gifts. Another first: Dave and Keith had been so busy with their respective jobs and classwork that "Tex" hadn't met Dave yet (yes, "Tex" is the Dave's nickname for him--likely in part due the city with which Austin shares his name, and Dave is a HUGE Dallas Cowboys fan, but probably more the former than latter). Everyone had an awesome time, Austin got a really neat gift, and Ashley was adorable taking on a maternal role with our little guy!
