We feel bad about not posting this weekend, but not much really happened...which is not altogether a bad thing considering how chaotic things have been over the last couple of weeks.
Saturday was a day for Mom and Dad to catch up on some sleep during the day. Mommy slept in until nearly 11 am while Austin and Daddy went for a walk through town. Later, Daddy took a 2.5 hour nap in the afternoon. Apparently, Diane and Erika stopped by to visit in the afternoon as well, but seeing as Daddy was sleeping, he can't really attest himself as to how good a time was had by the girls with out little stud-muffin, but Mommy says everyone had fun (even if Austin was a little cranky).
Sunday was a day for some rest and football...not much else. We managed to heat up some Baked Ziti in the oven for dinner (prepared by our friend Keri). It was delicious and very much appreciated.
We found out that Austin has been getting bathed a bit too frequently...we noticed that his hands and feet are a bit dry (he is getting "lubed" with baby lotion now, which he hates)...guess washing up once every other day is a bit harsh on such new skin.
Today is a big day for the family...Daddy returns to work for the first time since Austin's arrival. That leaves Mommy at home by herself for 8-10 hours for the first time. She may be a little apprehensive about it, but she will be great and is awesome with the little guy. Daddy is looking forward to getting out of the house a little more frequently, but would prefer to bring the family along (Austin is just too young still to go and hang out in the community yet).
