Th plan: Keith made a paper with a picture of Sally on one side and 30 quarters on the other. Everytime Austin helped clear off the entire table (it is EXPECTED that he clean his own stuff off already) he was to receive one quarter. He would take his quarter to his paper and color in one quarter on his paper prior to placing the quarter into the piggy bank. He was very motivated, and when his efforts culminated in the acquisition of the 30th quarter, he went upstairs, we emptied his piggy bank, and he exchanged his money with Keith and Christine to purchase Sally on ebay (with Keith's help and Paypal account, of course).
The package arrived on Saturday, but we didn't notice until Monday (Christine is not so quick to go the mailbox during the winter months, apparently). Austin knew that the mailman was going to bring his Sally, but unfortunately, Monday was MLK day. So...when Christine came home from work Monday morning, she drove by the mailbox as the traditional letter carrier would do, leaving car tracks in front of the mailbox. Austin saw the tracks, thought the mailman had arrived, threw on his jacket, and proceeded to the mailbox.
Next up...Doc Hudson the Racecar
