Oz-Straveganza Weekend

As was the case last year, Austin had a wonderful time at the cheesy, yet kid friendly Oz-Stravaganza (Chittenango's annual reason to have a town field days event paying tribute to the legacy of L. Frank Baum, author of The Wizard of Oz. Again, like last year, Keith was at a continuing education course all weekend. Unlike last year, Diane has traveled from NJ to spend the weekend with us.

Diane arrived on Friday, so she ws able to join Austin and Christine in town while Austin enjoyed feeding animal at the petting zoo, playing in the bounce house and riding on the small amusement park rides. Later the girls were able to enjoy the fireworks after we all went out to Friendly's for dinner. Austin had been begging for ice cream all week, so he was thrilled to get to have his sundae after the meal...calling it a sundae is a bit of a stretch though as we only let him have vanilla ice cream in a sundae bowl/cup. Yesterday, everyone went back down to town for the parade and more fun again.

Meanwhile, Keith was couped up in a library room in at SUNY Upstate taking the 3rd installment of McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy. Rest assured, Keith would have rather been at the Oz-Stravaganza than learn about 3 hours worth of materials in 3 days.
