Austin had the first of 2 or 3 anticipated birthday parties today to celebrate his upcoming 2nd birthday on November 5th. Today's party was for his other "friends" (and their families) who are the same age as he is. By coincidence only, all the people who were there today also lived right in town too.
The party started at 11:30, with everyone (4 different families) coming over for snack foods before Keith arrived with Sicilian pizza at 12:15 from Pasquale's in Fayetteville. Surprisingly, all the kids played really well together (or beside each other, depending on how you see things). After the pizza, and some more playing...it was time for everyone to sing Happy Birthday to Austin...which he really enjoyed, especially once he realized that people were singing to/for him:
Of course, the best part of any birthday celebration (outside of spending time with friends and family) is the birthday cake, which Austin enjoyed A LOT more this year than last:
After he finished eating two cupcakes (hey, they were small ones), Austin played with his friends some more and opened gifts before everyone had to go home for their afternoon naps (the kids, not the parents).
We would like to thank everyone for coming over and spending a very special afternoon with our family, celebrating Austin's 2nd birthday...we had a wonderful time and cherish the friendships we have made over the last year.
