Your author was being very good on Saturday....as he mentioned, going out to lunch with Christine. What wasn't mentioned was that the Syracuse vs Georgetown game was at noon. Many of you may not know, but this is one of the biggest rivalry games in all of college basketball. But Keith didn't even try to turn the game onto the radio broadcast. Christine didn't even know the game was happening.
That is course until we were perusing a local shop (Name Brand Deals--very shady place that sells seconds, returns, and overstocked items for you to buy at your own risk) where he game was being shown on the televisions for sale. The Cuse was up by 8 with less than 2 minutes left, so we walked by like it didn't matter to Keith....until he started hearing screaming and moaning from other customers. Syracuse lost their lead and ended up going into overtime.
So...we went home and Austin joined Keith on the couch to take in the game. Keith needs to chant during the game ("Let's Go Orange" and "De-Fense" seem to work well) to keep Austin's attention, but he enjoys it. In the end, the Cuse pulled out a much needed victory, improving their chances of an at large bid in the field of 65 at the NCAA Div 1 Championships.
