A busy week...

Things have been happening quickly, keeping us from updating the blog as much as we would like, but we hope the wait is worth it from time to time.

Please note, we will often update the online photo albums long before making a blog update. And sometimes, we will even update the latest album in the middle of the week. So even if you don't see something new on the blog itself, there are occasions when we are still trying to put new things out there for people to see.

For instance, pictures have been up without an explanation of a visit we recently had last weekend from Joelle, Dave, David and Danny. Being Austin's "Second Mom", Joelle wanted to come up, see the house, and be an "Austin-hog" before his birthday...24 hours of Austin, dedicated to her (and only her). Sure, she is greedy...but if there is a greed to appreciate, it would be the greed of a friend who wants to rain down love and affection upon our little boy. And that is without mentioning the cool birthday gifts he received!

As Keith and Christine knew would be the case, Austin had a wonderful time with Joelle. It had been a couple of months since they had seen one another, but he remembered her from the first squeeze, hug, and kiss. Strangely, he didn't fuss for Mom or Dad while she was here....granted, if he even started, she would prevent him from going further...but, it goes to show how much he loves her.

What we were surprised about was how interactive Austin was with Danny, Joelle's youngest boy; the 2 were enamored with one another. Austin would crawl after Danny the entire weekend. Danny would run around encouraging Austin to catch/follow him. Poor Danny didn't realize that Austin wasn't fast enough to keep up with him all the time (with his running and Austin crawling), but it was entertaining all the same, especially when we convinced Danny to crawl slowly so Austin could follow him. Of course that got boring (moving so slowly) so eventually, Danny realized that Austin would still be able to follow him if he left a trail of Cheerios on the floor. It was really fun to see Austin be so engaged by another child in the house...even if Moxy was less than thrilled with our guests (but, she has learned that her wishes don't seem to matter much anymore).

We could continue to type for another hour about how much fun we had, how Austin loves his gifts, or how much we appreciated the entire family traveling up to see us, but instead, we'll just say

We Love You.
