Uncle Kevin and Aunt Peggy Visit

It was incredibly cool for Kevin and Peggy to make the long drive from Utica, NY to visit with Austin. They came in for breakfast (waffles, hash browns, eggs and cinnamon buns) and got to see Austin for nearly 4 hours...although to be fair, the little guy spent about 90 minutes in the bedroom eating, so they might not have seen him as much as they may have liked.

Austin really took to Aunt Peggy's arms...bad news for Uncle Kevin and his efforts to possibly thwart her requests for children in the immediate future (he is obviously fighting a losing battle). Austin liked Uncle Kevin as well, but tended to be a bit more finicky in his arms than in Aunt Peggy's. You can tell that Uncle Kevin is like his brother and would rather not hold fragile and small children...up until now, Keith has avoided small babies for fear of "breaking" them, as if were a bull in a china shop.

After Aunt Peggy and Uncle Kevin left to go visit family in NYC, Austin took his first walk outdoors. He was bundled up really well, and slept for the full 30 minutes that he was outdoors being pushed in his stroller down various streets adjacent to our condo complex.

Not much is going on...just settling into a groove. For the next few days, that will include Keith (your author) trying to fit about 2 weeks of doctoral work into the next 3 days...so, unfortunately, there will be no more blog postings until Thursday night/Friday morning. The Web Album will continue to be updated, however, so be sure to check in there daily to see what has been added.

Have a great week!

Was great seeing all three of you, but especially the little man. Thanks for the great breakfast.
